Your
Honour
Mr.
Jack Wilshere
With
all respect,
There is a need to clarify before I explain the essence of this letter, let me introduce my self. I’m Muhammad Arhan from Indonesia. You must be know that country, aren’t you ? That country, you and Arsenal will visit later on July 2013. I really hope you take a part in Arsenal's Asia Tour later.
As
an Arsenal supporter, I'm happy to follow your progress until now. If my memory
is not wrong,
i
got to know you when you are selected to play in the first team in pre-season
action game against Barnet and i vividly remember one assists you to Jay
Simpson. Then your first 2 goals against Burgenland XI in which Arsenal won
10-2 in the game, right ?
September 2008, your first competitive debut in the premier league when playing at Ewood Park against Blackburn Rovers, you subbed Robin Van Persie in the 84th minute. I still remember when you scored your first goal as Arsenal threw Sheffield United 6-0 in the Carling Cup event. I bet it’s the greatest moment for you at that time.
Since
that time, As time goes on, I continue to follow your progress, find out the
ins and outs of your resume in the past. I'm very bloody happy if you linked to
Liam Brady or Dennis 'The Non Flying Dutchman' Bergkamp or even Tony Adams. But
Jack Wilshere still Jack Wilshere. no one should compare you to another player.
I’m proud of Jack Wilshere whoever he was.
Mr. Jack Wilshere. you may know or even get closed to Tony Adams? 21 years and captain armband was circling on his arm. I sure one of the reasons for Monsieur Arsene Wenger to made him as a captain at such a young age was because of his leadership. he did not afraid to criticize his mates if they made a mistake. The same thing I found on you, Mr. Jack Wilshere. Despite only 21 years old, you did not afraid to criticize players from other clubs for defending his team. I remembered your tweet when you mad at Barry Ferguson after the Carling Cup final 2 years ago.
Jack, you may still remembered the moment when you fight with Michael Owen because he hit Arteta, eh ?. What a heroic action when you look challenging Michael Owen. And when you fought Jonas Olssen, which way bloody bigger than you, I don’t know where the hell you get your guts from. But I always proud of what you do to Arsenal.
I don't need to ask your loyalty to Arsenal. You've said you don’t need an agent because you will never leave Arsenal, rite ? I always hope you kept that promise, Sir. You also said your heart belongs to only one team, It’s Arsenal. If all players were like you, there will be no players coming and walked away from Arsenal. But players come and go, passions are forever.
Your Honour, Mr. Jack Wilshere.
2010-2011 season, when Arsenal faced FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League
event at Ashburton Grove,
you played so awesome. Against players rich of experiences like Andres Iniesta
and Xavi Hernandez, you’re able to created a successful passes 93.5% and 91%
successful passes on the final third of the pitch. And in this season of your
caps by winning the PFA Young Player of the Year, get in into the PFA Team of
the Year, and won Arsenal's Player of the Season.
Maybe 2011-2012 season was bleedin’ bad for you, the ankle injury that forced you to end the season without a single call-up makes me sad because player that i admire not on the pitch. Despite, I’m sure you will return and stand up for Arsenal again.
There's something you should know. in Indonesia, You were the next “Mr . Arsenal". Too early ? Absolutely, not! I have many reasons why you deserve as Arsenal captain. One of them is your leadership in the pitch, like King Leonidas in the film 300. Even if I had close relations with Monsieur Arsene Wenger, I would advise him to make you as a captain.
After the departure of Robin Van Persie at the start of the season, number 10 bacame yours. You look so awesome on it. Reminds me of Dennis Bergkamp, but allow me to ask, If you later appointed as Arsenal captain and Arsenal still got no any trophies, will you promise to me and fellows Gooner in the world will not gonna be like Robin Van Persie or Cesc Fabregas? But, it’s your right. I can’t intervene in your choice. I don’t blame if the players wanted to leave because he wanted to get the title or because lack of trophy. It's a natural thing if the man is never satisfied and always want to achieve success. But, I really expect you stay in Arsenal.
As an Arsenal supporter I feel how bitter a supporter who always insulted because Arsenal never get the trophy for this decade. Mr. Jack, you know what the nickname Arsenal in Indonesia? "8 Years Trophyless FC". But for me trophy is a bonus for watching football. I was quite happy to watch Arsenal though only from the telly. Shout bloody loud chants "We Love You Arsenal, We Do" or "Arsenal Till I die" it’s became my own pleasure. or chants "There's only one Jackie Wilshere, One Jackie Wilshere". I was very excited when it shouted.
Without Arsenal there would be no learning for me. Every satnite, learn to accept defeat, to learn to not arrogant and talk a lot when Arsenal won, Maybe it sounds ridicolous because who the fuck I’am in the eyes of Arsenal player ? I don’t even know why the bloody hell I get so emotional when I watching Arsenal play? Tears and emotional outbursts could explode when Arsenal win or lose. But that sensation and lessons we can take. Learning to be patience, faithful in the process, and of course learning about something call loyalty
Of course, You cried when Arsenal lost to Birmingham in the Carling Cup final event two years ago, rite'? Then you also cried when Arsenal were defeated 3-1 by Muenchen at Ashburton Grove, isn’t it ? I also felt that, Jack. Nevertheless I am not ashamed to cried in front of people for the sake of Arsenal. Ah, forget the past. And i also cried when you cried after Arsenal lost to birmingham in Carling Cup final two years ago. really painful moments.
Oh yeah, how's your son, Archie Wilshere? I hope he always healthy. He always looks cute especially when wearing an Arsenal kit. I am sure he will be a great footballer like his father and playing for Arsenal later, Indeed.
I want to speak directly to you, whether talking about football or politics between English-Indonesian which even I don’t give a damn or maybe about cooking? I guess you must be an expert in cooking, Jack? if my guess was wrong, maybe you can try my homemade fried rice, it taste good. Sounds interesting to talk to you, while enjoying a cup of tea in the autumn. Ah, I just remembered that Indonesia does not have autumn season. But, well England-Indonesia is too far away. And I'm just one of the many millions of supporters arsenal, too difficult to speak directly to you, Professional Athletes who have 2 million followers on the social networking accounts, Twitter. I gotta finish my education until i meet you one day later.
Almost forgot, me and whole Arsenal supporters miss winning another trophy for us, for our Arsenal. I miss seeing the smile off Arsenal players and Monsieur Arsene while lifting the trophy with pride.
Ah, actually I do wanna talk much
with you. But, I’m afraid you get bloody bored when you reading my letter
because it’s too long. See ya in Indonesia at Arsenal Tour 2013. I wanna meet
you and take a picture with my favorite player, Jack Wilshere.
I’m gonna close this letter with a sense of pride, pride of watching you, despite on telly. Pride of making you my idol and pride of being a Gooners. May success always be on you, Jack!
Your Truly,
Muhammad
Arhan, Indonesian Gooners
